WASHINGTON Rudy Giuliani did not make a decision about a possible run for the White House during the former New York City mayor’s twoday tour of New Hampshire this week, Politico reported Saturday.

But Giuliani told Politico that he is still seriously considering another presidential bid. His 2008 presidential campaign came to an early end after he bet heavily on winning the Florida primary and lost.

“My thinking is that I still have time to decide. So I’m going to take it … the race is developing very slowly compared to, maybe not necessarily historical races, but compared to 2007, which is what I’m used to,” Giuliani told Politico.

“My focus when I sit down to decide will be, do I think any of the people running, or a few of them, have a good chance of beating President Obama or not?”

Unlike 2008, Giuliani appears to be considering a campaign strategy that would focus heavily on New Hampshire, Politico said, noting that he has a designated spokeswoman based in the firstinthenation primary state.

During his trip to New Hampshire this week, Giuliani spent his time meeting with voters at smallscale events.

On Thursday, Giuliani told gun owners at a Manchester HarleyDavidson dealership that he fully supports their constitutional right to bear arms and does not support a ban on assault weapons, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported.

Giuliani also criticized President Barack Obama, calling him “clueless,” the newspaper said.

“We’d be out of the recession if it were not for President Obama’s policies,” Giuliani said, according to the Union Leader. “The president has put us on exactly the wrong course.”

Politico noted that Giuliani’s 2008 campaign staff has mostly signed on with other candidates and the former mayor still owes $2.6 million from that prior presidential bid.
