INDIANAPOLIS – Two men in disguises robbed a Wendy’s restaurant at gunpoint Sunday evening and made off with bags of cash.

Officers were called to the restaurant in the 5200 block of S. East Street just before 10 p.m. with word that two men had just fled the store.

According to the police report, the robbers forced the employees to the floor and demanded the manager open the safe.

The robbers then used zip ties to bind the employees’ hands before running out of the store.

Witnesses say one of the robbers was wearing a black hoodie and a fake beard and moustache. The other robber was wearing a green and red Rastafarian style hat with fake dreadlocks attached to it.

Police say both men were armed with small handguns.
