MONTICELLO, Ind. – A Monticello doctor has been charged with sexual battery on a patient.
According to court documents, 38-year-old Dr. Stephen K. Rogers was charged with the Class D felony in the White County Superior Court. Rogers allegedly touched his female patient at the Monticello Medical Center inappropriately.
Court documents show the patient reported the incident to police. During the next appointment the victim wore a recording device. Police could hear Rogers comment on the shirt the victim was wearing and see Rogers pull her onto his lap.
Rogers was booked in the White County Jail and is out on bond. A Franciscan St. Elizabeth Regional Health spokesperson said Rogers has not been employed at the Monticello Medical Center since April 8.
