WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The West Lafayette Police Department arrested one of two suspected armed robbers.
Around 2 a.m. Friday, July 22, two people claimed they were robbed near Grant and Wood Streets by two men, one of whom they said was armed.
Lt. Troy Harris said several items were taken from the victims, although he would not specify what those items were. The suspects were described as two Hispanic men in their early twenties. The pair were last seen wearing white t-shirts.
WLPD arrested and charged 23-year-old Rodrigo Medrano Jr. with Armed Robbery. Medrano is currently in the Tippecanoe County Jail with a $25,000 bond.
WLPD detectives are currently following up on further information regarding the other subject involved.
